This is a nice, quiet, hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms, it's very close to the Stray Bangkok office.

At Home Guest House
This is a very clean, cozy hostel that is 5 minutes walk from Stray’s Bangkok office and very close to the main backpacker area of Khaosan Road. It also has an excellent vegetarian restaurant nearby.

Rambuttri Village Inn
This is a nice hotel with a swimming pool (great in the heat!) and just off Khaosan Road. It’s around 10 -15 minutes walk from Stray’s Bangkok shop.

Lub.d Siam
This is boutique hostel, very close to the big main shopping mall MBK (walking distance). It takes about 20 minutes to the Stray Bangkok office off peak, but beware it can take 45 minutes to 1 hour in rush hour.

Bangkok Airport Directions to Central City
How to get from Suvarnabhumi Intl Airport to Khao San Road area.
1. By taxi
Metered: a taxi can cost between 270 Thai Baht (THB) and 500 THB depending on the traffic. For example, it might be 270 THB if you travel at 6am or late night.
Toll ways: There are 2 toll costs to go on the faster expressway, which are 45 THB and 25 THB (total 70 THB)
Please Note: from Suvarnabhumi Intl Airport by taxi, you will need to pay 50 THB airport service fee to the taxi driver on top of toll fees and meter.
2. Airport link (Skytrain)
There are 2 services, which are City line and Express line.
Express line is a nonstop service. It only takes 18 minutes from Phayathai station to Suvarnabhumi Intl Airport (vice versa). Ticket for one way is 90THB and return is 150 THB. Please note prices are subject to change.
City line will stop for 8 stations. It's 45 THB one way. It takes 30 minutes to and from airport.
3. Mini van
Minivan from Khaosarn area to airport (only) is about 130 -150 THB per person. It can take 1 hour.
