What to bring? Light clothes for the wet season (May – Oct) and something warm for the dry season (Nov – Mar), especially for the north of Laos and Thailand; a good travel medical kit supplied by a doctor (for any inconveniences, dietary or otherwise); your travel insurance details; sunscreen; bug repellent (at least 30% deet content); girls - a sarong for swimming in remote areas (Lao culture requires modesty); a poncho or light raincoat (it can rain even in the dry season in the north), shoes/trainers for walking, a roll of toilet paper and hand sanitizer is always good, and of course, a sense of adventure! Food will cost US$10-15 a day depending on what you eat. Extra money, of up to US$15 will be required each day for toilet use, tuk tuks, view points, caves, waterfalls, and other entrance fees of places Stray stops along the way. Is accomodation included? Your driver will book accommodation for you but the cost is not included in your pass. You just pay as you go, prices vary from US$5 (for dorm) - $24 (for twin or double with ensuite). We guarantee accommodation availability for the first night of every stop.
Do I need personal travel insurance? Yes. There is no travel insurance cover included in the price of your Stray pass, and adequate and valid travel insurance is compulsory to travel on Stray Asia. The Noy Pass
For those with limited time and want a taste of Laos, this is a great introduction. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Luang Prabang with its many temples and scenic surroundings, bump up the vibe in Vang Vieng, tubing and backpacker central, and then head on down to the nation’s capital for more nightlife and city sights. Joining in Luang Prabang or Vientiane, this circuit is great for those flying in from nearby countries and need a round trip.

Luang Prabang to Vang ViengAn early departure travelling through mountainous and steep terrain, we make a number of stops today to take in the incredible views, and still arrive in Vang Vieng in time for those inclined to spend the afternoon and evening tubing and partying. Other activity options: cycling, kayaking, rock climbing, hot air ballooning, resting and even watching re-runs of The Simpsons.
Accommodation: Guesthouse amongst all the hype, with large rooms. $8-15 or a Hotel on the main street with quiet rooms $23-30
Vang Vieng to VientianeToday we cruise straight through to Vientiane - Laos' capital for the last 450 years. Once here we take you on a tour of the city's main attractions, Patuxai, Pha That Luang, That Dam and the Presidential Palace. Spend the afternoon shopping, visiting the COPE centre, having a massage or making the journey out to Xieng Khuan (Buddha Park).

Vientiane to Luang Prabang (express day)This express day starts off through the rice flats of greater Vientiane and then winds up through Vang Vieng (you can get off here if you want) continuing through the beautiful hill stricken landscape to Luang Prabang.
