TROUBLE SHOOTING

There are a few circumstances that may make it difficult for you to book online – these are outlined below, if you fit any of these circumstances please call the Stray Bangkok office on +66 2 2800831 or the Luang Prabang office on +856 71 260584 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 1. If you do not start your pass at one of the gateway cities (e.g. Bangkok, Luang Prabang).

2. If you do not do the normal circuit/loop in sequence i.e you jump a head and miss out locations and then want to go back and do them at a later date.

3. If you are on Custom Asia Pass – this sometimes can create confusion as you have multiple sections to your pass.

5. If you hop-off the bus and try and update your pass BEFORE the tour leader does, then it might show that you have traveled further than you actually have, and it won’t let you book ahead from your current location i.e. If you book a travel day Chiang Mai – Chiang Khong, but get off in Chiang Rai, your booking will show you as being "in Chiang Khong". Therefore you won't be able to book from Chiang Rai to Chiang Khong until the tour leader updates their manifest after Chiang Rai and advises the office.

6. If you’re travelling on the Full Moon combined with the Long Thaang Pass and if you hop off in Luang Prabang to do the Long Thaang part on the way, this can cause problems because you are starting a new pass half way through your original pass.

7. The bottom loop (south of Vientiane) has less frequent buses then the northern loop and your travel plans might not link up in Vientiane. You must book on to the right buses, otherwise it will show there is no availability. 8. The first night on the bottom loop TAD LEUK or BAN NA (south of Vientiane) depends on the season as to where we visit. The destination we are currently visiting will appear in green as available whilst the alternate destination will show as no availability.
