Welcome Nights

You’re about to embark on an epic Stray adventure into Southeast Asia and what better way to get into the Stray mind set than joining us at one of our Welcome Nights!

Asia Welcome Nights med

Our Welcome Nights are an important introduction for Stray travellers starting their trips. Scheduled on the first evening of every pass and tour (Moc Bai and Khmer passes meet on the first night in Siem Reap), this is an opportunity to meet your Tour Leader and fellow travellers, learn about the trip ahead, ask questions and get any outstanding paperwork out of the way.

Details

What to bring: Passport, travel insurance details, emergency contact information, any questions you have.

What to expect: Meet your Tour Leader, learn more about your upcoming trip and take care of any pre-departure paperwork.

Welcome Night FAQs

Is the Welcome Night meeting optional?

Welcome Night meetings are a compulsory part of the Stray Asia experience - they are a key element to introducing you to how Stray works and helping prepare you for the trip ahead. As of 1 November, 2016, Welcome Night meetings have been incorporated into the first or second day of every pass and tour itinerary so you won't miss out.

Do I need to RSVP for the Welcome Night?

You do not need to reconfirm your attendance. Since Welcome Nights are part of the itinerary, your Tour Leader will be expecting you.

My flight/train/bus was delayed and I'm going to arrive too late for the Welcome Night meeting - what do I do?

In the event that you are unexpectedly delayed, contact the Stray Asia Team on Bangkok@straytravel.asia and write “Welcome Night” in the subject line or ring the team in Thailand: (+66) 2629 2144 or Laos: (+856) 71 260 584.
