New Season Changes

The 1st of October marks the start of our new season and with it comes some changes that we think will improve your Stray Asia experience. We've listened to our travellers, observed their preferences and adjusted our route adding extra ‘free time’ in the places people love.

Here is what we have in store for 17-18 season...

Itinerary Changes

STRAY ASIA 17-18 UPDATES

LAOS:

  • We’ll spend 1 extra night in Vang Vieng, a favourite amongst travellers with plenty of adventure activities on offer (becomes a 2 night stop). From 11 October 2017.

  • We’ll spend 1 less night at Kong Lor, which still allows plenty of time for the main attraction, an incredible boat trip through 7km of underground caves (reduces to a 1 night stop).  From 14 October 2017.

CAMBODIA:

  • For those arriving into Cambodia from Laos (Mekong/Lot travellers), we’ve added 1 extra night in Siem Reap so travellers have time to explore both Angkor Wat and this exciting city (becomes a 3 night stop). From 19 October 2017.

  • For those on the Moc Bai and Khmer your trips will depart 'Bangkok to Siem Reap' 1 day later from the 19 October. Departures will be on Mondays & Thursdays from this date.

  • We’ve added 1 extra night in Sihanoukville so travellers can visit the pretty coastal island of Koh Rong without hopping off (becomes a 3 night stop).  From 23 October 2017.

  • We will no longer visit Koh Tunsay (Rabbit Island) however with more time at Sihanoukville our travellers can still get their island fix.  From 21 October 2017.

VIETNAM:

  • While there are no changes to the actual 14 day itinerary, the Dong Pass and Dong Flexi Tour will commence 1 day later.
  • From the 28 October 2017,  the Ho Chi Minh Welcome Nights will be hosted on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
  • Those travelling on minimum time will arrive 1 day later into Hanoi.

THAILAND & MYANMAR:

  • No changes apply

We've created a special timetable to show you exactly which dates the new changes take effect in each location. The yellow highlighted dates indicate the first group travelling on the new route.
